Vision is really important to us here at Church Without Limits - it reminds us of who we are, where we are going and how we are going to get there. It fuels what we do and more importantly why we do it.
The mission defines the heart of what we are trying to accomplish as a church. It is our assigned task; the purpose God has called us for, our 'divine mandate'.
Our mission is: To see the Transformation of the Greater Toronto Area through the Love of God
We are convinced that God's heart is to touch and transform the G.T.A. with His unconditional and unstoppable love. We don't see it as much that He has given us a mission, but that He has given us to His mission. We believe that every person who embraces this mission and lives it out becomes a missionary in their neighbourhoods, workplace and/or school.
Core values are the shared convictions/concepts that are absolutely vital to us at Church Without Limits. Our Core Values are:
We are really big on relationships. Our relationship with God should be the number one priority in our lives. We believe that marriage and family are so important. We believe in loving one another - Jesus did say that was what was going to define us as his followers.
When Jesus left he commanded all who love and follow him to make disciples of all nations. It was not an option or a suggestion but a commission. We take this seriously. We want to be disciples and we want to make disciples in everything we do.
We put a high emphasis on sharing the good news of Jesus with everyone we possible can. We have received so much, how could we keep it to ourselves?
Prayer is not optional to us at CWL - it is absolutely vital. We desire for it to be woven into the very fabric of who we are and what we do. We do not just want to be a church that prays but a praying church.
Consecration means to be set apart from sin unto God. We want to be a church that see's sin the way God sees it and passionately pursues purity and holiness in every area of lour lives.
We serve a God who is real, who is powerful and who wants to be involved in our lives. We value and expect answered prayer, healings, signs, wonders and miracles. We expect Him to speak to us. We expect His super to be a ‘natural’ part of our everyday lives.
We serve a God who is the sources of all creativity. In times past the church was the centre of the arts, literature and learning. We value using every voice and every medium to glorify Him - to make Him visible to everyone possible.
Our mission is really important but it is just as important to have a strategy, or a game plan, by which we will go about attempting to accomplish our mission.
Our strategy is to: Build G12 Missions Teams that Win, Consolidate, Disciple and Send
We are working to raise up 'City Missionaries' who will work in teams of 12 to win people to Christ, consolidate them (help them become solid in their faith), help them grow as disciples and then send them to do the same thing: win souls, make disciples, and influence the sphere God has called them too. Our tools to accomplish this will include ConneXions groups, Encounter Weekends and the School of Leaders.
